New 328 Owner

Just signed the dotted line yesterday for a '14 x328i, fully loaded (except for the Park Assist). Finally got around to trading in my wife's '09 Lexus and happy to add a 3rd bmw to the garage!

Delivery is a bit long (~ 8 weeks), but if I recall I think my Z was around 10. Does anyone know if I can track the car once it leaves Germany (I don't have the VIN obviously yet), as I did with my Z?

Got the Luxury model, loaded, Smoky Topaz with black leather. I'll post some pics in March at some point.

Dave

BMWZ4, congratulations on your individual Smoked Topaz. Don't forget to post photos in 8-10 weeks. Good luck with the wait.

Congrats! Absolutely the right thing to add the options on the new 3s. The latest NBT Nav is stellar, night and day improvements over a few years ago. And the tech options are fantastic. Enjoy the new F30!

Thanks guys. Definitely will be posting as soon as the car is delivered. No mods really (will be my wife's car)...although I'm sure I'll find something to add w/o her knowing!

Later

Congratulations! For tracking look over this thread in the forum http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=680467 The toll-free number was pretty accurate and I caught updates when my car was scheduled for production, was in the paint shop, and was finished awaiting release to the (train) carrier up to Bremerhaven. It was a bit slow to pickup when the car got onto the boat but if you start entering your VIN in the WW site https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage you can get the ship name and then track it from here www.marinetraffic.com over to Halifax. The waiting isn't easy!

Very interesting. I got a 328i with every option including park assist and I have not used that even once. Not even sure if that actually works as advertised.
