M Sport Steering Wheel on Sport line
Does anyone else who ordered a sportline F30 have a M Sport steering wheel as a factory installed equipment?
I was at BMW Mini of Nashville today taking my parent's Mini in for a service, and I was browsing through the lot and noticed a Sportline car with a M Sport steering wheel on. I thought to myself, maybe they added this at the dealer, for some reason. But I looked at the window sticker, and noticed that it was included in the Sport Line equipment. I took a quick picture of the window sticker. This was a 2013 328i Sport line (NOT M-Sport). http://www.bmwofnashville.com/new/BM...480493a24d.htm

Mine is in production and it shows this option (710) M Steering Wheel. I'll let you know when I pick it up in Munich September 11th!

My Vehicle inquiry report shows 255 Sports leather steering wheel. Not m sport, bummer, I really hate the red stitching on the sportsline steering wheel.

everything listed on the window sticker under 'sport line' marked with - are options, including M steering wheel. So it's not standard.

The 'M steering wheel' must stand for multi-function then not M sport, it just doesn't make any other sense.

Indeed.
Probably a factory screw up; that's if it truly did have an M Sport steering wheel. Plus you can get the M Sport steering wheel as an option under any line in certain countries, so if someone at the factory saw it they wouldn't necessarily second guess it (even though they should've, given a US spec vehicle). Did you see the actual steering wheel, or just the sticker? .. And to anyone saying they wouldn't want an M Sport steering wheel.. HAH! Don't knock it til you try it. That's an absurd assumption basing you're liking to it off it's looks.

If you click on the link he posted, the vehicle interior shot shows the M steering wheel.

Like I said my vehicle inquiry from my CA says I am getting option 710 (M Steering Wheel) on my sports line. I'll let you know in a couple weeks when I pick it up on my ED.

I posted a thread about this as the online builder was occasionally showing the M sport wheel with the sport line. very weird. maybe they are changing the sport line to have that wheel

also, if that's the case, that's a huge draw to the less expensive sport line, at least for me!

Wtf. I really wanted this wheel and now get to fork out 1500 for it and now it seems you can just get it. Oh well, I still like the sport line one. It shows it right in the pictures so it looks legit.

Doesn't explain the car actually being built that way. Would be nice if it was an option for Everest gray sport lines (or better yet, make Everest available on m sport!!!) |

^ yea, that's how you "fool" it. definitely it should be available with the grey and the grey should be available with the m sport. my guess is that the factory is running low on the sport steering wheel airbags. i see that as more logical than running low on the sport wheels, because there is an all black sport wheel from the lux line that could be substituted just as easily. or perhaps the factory retooling process led to this. who knows. whoever gets these wheels should count themselves as lucky!
