Early adopters (current f30 owners) sometimes pay the price.
In my eyes I could see if they included it on a more special variant like the 435is or your zhp package, but if they're just making it a port option - why not stick it on the f30 asap? Charge a lot and profit on early adopters and have the best luxury sports sedan on the market?

Oh well, what do I know, definitely no marketing guy

Correction: the wheels are not 405M wheels seen for the F30, but a new style wheel altogether.

Woohoo to LSD !

I'm having a love-hate relationship with the 4 !
Can't give my final opinion before I see it in the flesh !

Woohoo to LSD !
Last time I had LSD on a non ///M BMW was on my 2005 E46 330ci with M sport package.

They stopped offering it cause 335 and the M3 would be too close in terms of the offering!
Fear of cannibalizing the sale of the M3 maybe ?

I'm not starting a 335 vs. M3 debate here !
To me they are completely two different cars! But to a lot of people that might not be the case!
It was purely a business decision for BMW.

Now that the M4 comes with a twin turbo and the gap got much wider, both in terms of HP and Torque, between the 335 and the M3 they started offering it again.

This bodes well for all of us who are impatiently waiting for the unveiling of the M4 !

Soooo... add on an OEM LSD for how much? Is $5k a good guess? Getting pretty close to M4 territory I would guess but then again the M4 might be well into the $80s. meh doesn't matter this thing is a boat.

Awesome option, but knowing how BMW prices their options expect big $$ for anything like an LSD.

Too bad though, because its an excellent option to throw on a beastly 435i when tuned.

A great step for BMW enthusiast to wrap there hands around an LSD!!
However, I would like to tick a box during ordering the car from
the factory with LSD, dont understand why BMW is so obtuse!

There is no reason the LSD would not work on the F30.

Anyone else notice the extra Alcantara around the shift plate? That looks much better.

I love performance upgrades from the factory

I don't like the exorbitant prices for performance upgrades from the factory

I like the fact that you can roll the cost into your financing
