New Member - 328xi M-Sport

Hi, I recently purchased a Estoril Blue 328xi M-Sport and joined the forum. Planning a few mods and have taken care of some already. Looking for some guidance on plans and direction. I had an E92 M3 in a different life and I don't want to make this look like a poser, just nice and clean. I also just turned 40 so I don't want it to look or sound like a mid life crisis

Done already
  • Side reflector delete
  • Gloss black front grills
  • 20% tint all around
  • Painted spoiler

Looking to do
  • VMR 710 - Silver
    Front - 19x8.5 ET 35 w/ 245/35-19 tires
    Rear - 19x9.5 ET45 w/ 275/30-19 tires
  • AA Exhaust - Debating going dual
  • Front Lip
  • Interior kit to remove the wood grain stuff

Thoughts?

looks good, keep'n it clean and tasteful.

the only thing i noticed are that the proposed tire sizes will cause x-drive transfer case problems. 245/35,275/30 will have 25.8"/25.5" front and rear diameters which is 1.2% difference. for x-drive the difference should be 1% or less, 0% being ideal.

i recommend tire size of 235/40/19 front, 265/35/19 rear, 26.4"/26.3", difference of 0.4%. 235 is 10mm stretch on 8.5" , 265 is perfect fit on 9.5".

taller sidewall will fill fenderwell gap, provide more impact protection, fix high reading speedo (bmw speedo's read high from the factory)

edit...if you're set on a lower profile and lower diameter than oem (26"), for the front do 235/35 instead of 245/45. this'll result in 25.5"/25.5" for your x-drive
