Hey guys, for some reason my rear left tail light (the piece that is on the trunk lid itself) is coming off and I cant snap it back in for some reason. Is there some trick to pop this thing back in or could some clip possibly have broken?

dont let them charge you for it! i went in when this happened to mine and they tried to tell me someone "must have tried to steal it" and they were gunna charge me for a new one until i mentioned how i had done my research and knew that it was a malfunction. then they replaced under warranty

Im worried they are going to say I closed the trunk hard and broke it.

if it looks like the tail lights in that first thread ^^^ then its covered under warranty. My service guy ended up googling it anyway to find out that it was a malfunction haha

Worst case: The dealership says that you broke it and then you simply show them evidence of other cars with the same issue. If they still deny it under warranty, take it to another dealer.

Best case: You worried for nothing because the dealer fixes it under warranty.

I vote that you are worrying for nothing.

I had the same issue when I had a 2012. From what remember it was a minor fix. I was in and out of within 1 hour. I was also scared that they would try to say I did something, but that was not an issue.
