2015 BMW 335i
Hey guys, I’m looking to get a 2015 335i m sport. My question is how to make the turbo flutter and is it possible and how to make the car make that brap sound when upshifting?

For reference I have a 2014 335i and with a simple intake I had some pretty nice turbo noises.
As for the shifting noises, that happens stock when shifting up a gear when on the throttle in higher RPM. Much more noticeable with the m performance exhaust and a downpipe. N55 is pretty notable for having a great sound. Hope this helps. |

Turbo flutter as you are describing is typically from compressor surge which is BAD (air rushing backwards across the turbine spinning forward). You will get a small amount of that as the DV opens if you go from heavy throttle/boost to off throttle, but you will need to run an open filter intake (not closed box like stock).
The car will make the upshift sound you are describing while stock as long as you are in sport mode and under high enough throttle. There is a separate "braap" flash option with MHD but that's for when you go from on to off throttle; its the M2 sound. |
