Rim and tire setup

Hi all,

I have an 2013 f30 335xi with the factory rims and tires 18inch with 225/45/18 all round and was looking to change it up a bit.

I saw 255/40/18 wheels (4) being sold and wonder if these will fit the f30? Picture attached as I am not sure which rims these are.

Can you post a link? I’m not 100% sure, but they like they might be wheels for a G20, in which case they wouldn’t fit.

Edit: they’re style 441 and they are F30 wheels. Yes, they will fit. It’s possible the offset could be an issue on the front. If they have 255 tires they are almost certainly 8.5” wide and they are usually mounted on the rear, but I know folks mount them on the front.

Thanks for the rim style. I did some research and it seems 18x8.5J ET47 would be the size. Does anyone know if other have tried this square setup on the 335xi ?

for things wheel and tire related, in the future please review, research, post in the wheels and tires sub-forum to gain knowledge and better response, here...
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=423

regarding 255 on OEM 8.5" ET47 in 18,19, or 20", up front, you will need a minimum 10mm, preferably 12.5mm spacer(w/appropriate length ext lug bolts) to gain clearance between the inner tire and strut/spring perch. here are a few threads on the matter...

Thank you, I will do that going forward.

To follow up, I will not need any spacers on the rear correct ?

18x8.5 ET47 255/40/18 rear oem wheels comes on the rear without a spacer.

Btw, are you sure it's four rears, not the OEM staggered setup? four fronts is common but four rears is not, due to the offset issue we've just discussed.
