Weird issue with navigation screen

Not long ago, I noticed some wriggly, worm-like patterns on my navigation screen, located only at the bottom. After a few days had passed, additional swirls began to emerge, and now a significant portion of the screen is covered by them. The situation is steadily deteriorating, and before too long, I fear that my visibility will be entirely obstructed. Do you happen to have any insight into what might be causing this issue?

The screen layers are delaminating, probably from heat. The only fix is a replacement screen.
