Somebody I knew went to replace their fog light with a set of DRL, and the fog light is throwing out error on dashboard. The fog is gone, but a set of DRL is now mounted, and a separate switch is used to activate/deactivate the DRL

Anybody with experience on how to code out the error?

I'm thinking of removing the fog light option from FA, [61] 520_FOG_LIGHTS

But since I'll be sometime before I get hold of the car to code it, I thought of hearing out other options/recommendations.

you can also just jam in resistors into the sockets
as long as you dont accidentally push the fog button it should be fine

Sound dangerous... I'm sure someone someday will definitely press the foggy button
