Can we discuss prices here..?

I only ask becasue I didn't know if it was frowned upon to put on blast what you paid of your car because some people get angy if they were not able to get a good deal too. It may also be a little rude. I'm not trying to be that guy I guess...

I was just curious if I'm infact getting as good a deal as I hope.

2013 335 M Sport - Estorl Blue, HK and Tech package - Mid 40's.

I don't see any rule forbidding it, but it is a bit of a taboo subject. I think for most people, including myself, it's just personal. Price may be subject to your local market, subject to the dealer and salesperson you dealt with as well as how well you negotiated. In short, there are too many variables for us all to suggest that you got a fair price.

Most discuss relative to invoice price, so maybe this will help you... and I'm not sure if posting the below is even allowed, or frowned upon.

It's a sign of how silly car buying still is that we even have to ask a question like this.

I live on Long Island and bought locally. I paid an amount equal to the SUM of:

1. The wholesale price from the bmwconfig.com site
2. Full list price for the iPhone snap in accessory...$250
3. $575 in fees for MACO, training service, documentation/plates, NY tire and inspection
4. $950 dealer markup

MINUS $1000 for the team USA drive event coupon.

Some people would call this deal "$50 under invoice". I think such a lable is misleading and foolish.

Did I get a good deal? Sure. A great deal? No.

I got my 335i for $1000 over the BMWconfig invoice (on a $57k MSRP) which includes the training fee, MACO, but not registration, then less $1k for the Team USA event.

I had a dealer willing to give me a about $300 less, but would not have gotten an allocation until the following month.
