Did anyone even look for the part number? It starts with it being available THEN they will work on getting it all working THEN will create a DIY. This will take time.

I don't find the BMW digital dashboard very interesting.
Going digital is a way to think differently with the new possibilities.
This cluster is just a close to classic speedo and tacho on a screen with different colors.
What Audi did on the TT and R8 was more a rethought of the dashboard (point is not a brand scoring)
TT
R8 at 25 sec
We could have expected more from BMW in front of the driver.
It's a lot of money for just digitalization.

I'd like to retrofit my car with this, i rarely use the tacho when i drive since it just sits still when i'm in electric mode anyways.

Any updates?

At this point, I saw it and don't want it for that cost. As mentioned above, you don't get much here...would be worth it if I had let's say an Audi

Step-by-step being supplied to different countries. Here is guy from Russia claiming there were like 4 clusters in Russia, but no head-up support so far. All the screenshots showing comparison between F10 model:

https://www.drive2.ru/l/475576713238020481/

Claimed price is about 1200USD.

Main point - it is 100% plug'n'play...

To clarify, the "no head-up" has no output for HUD and the "Head-up" has the output?

Any word on if HUD Assembly (part number) itself changed or if the old HUDs are compatiable?

I don't see any reason why any HUD shouldn't be compatible. I believe all it is about is output like you mentioned above.

I don't think BMW will comment anything specific about cross-compatibility unless they will release official retrofit for led dashboard.

They could have changed Voltage (as they did with NBT EVO Screen), might have changed Resolution for newer Device, might have changed connection method or plugs.....all types of reasons.

But thanks for the info you have posted thus far.

Obviously alive.

Interesting from this, it appears the "rings" are physical on the surface of the 6WB which seems strange.

There is a question about the compatiability of the HSD cable to connect the HUD with the 6WB. Appears that a custom cable might have to be utilized. Still a lot of questions to be answered for retrofits.
