Attempts to turn it back on didn't work, even after the car was shut off for at least a few hours.

Will try it again in a few days.
It'll work the next day, my wheel wheel did this again last week.

I think it'd be more annoying living in Cleveland (I can say that since I was born there)

Seriously though, maybe just a fuse if the light won't even come on.

So mine stopped working and I took it in. They determined it was a switch problem and now have to wait for a part from Germany. It's been the coldest month we've had in a while so this sucks.

They also made a tear on the back side of the steering wheel when they tried to remove it I think, so I complained about that.

How quickly people feel entitled to shit they never knew existed a mere few months ago always amazes me. Lol

Louis CK anyone?

My heated steering wheel was useless. By the time it was warmed up, so was the rest of the car and I no longer needed the steering wheel to be warm. My current car has no heated bull shit and magically, I still have all my fingers so far this winter.

The F30 wheel gets warm quickly and, for me, gets a bit too warm after a while. You will certainly never burn yourself, but it gets seriously toasty.

Agreed.

It should be toasty in about 60 seconds.

Insist they fix it under warranty, again it's the coil used in the wheel-splotchy reliability.

I don't have HSW and it was cold this morning, hopefully all those years of higher educations paid off: press AC auto button, direct left and right vent toward my hands, problem solved.

Gloves work even better.

Neither works as well as a heated wheel.

A heated wheel is an unnecessary gadget. But it is nice.

My heated streering wheel (F31 320i xdrive 2013 model) stopped working. the LED in the switch works and I get the "activated" and "deactivated" messages, but the wheel does not warm up.
I though that i'd check the fuse first, but I cannot figure out which is the correct fuse. Anyone know?
