12v Socket not working! [SOLVED]

The 12v socket under my glovebox has stopped working, i've checked all 3 fuses listed in the diagram and even swapped all of them out. The 12v socket in the ashtray part is working.

Anyone got any ideas as to what else could be the problem?

I had this about a month ago. I checked fuses too. Ended up bringing it in. I'll check the RO but fairly certain it was a fuse.

That wood be great if you could find what they changed, or i may have to pull and check every fuse!

Said to be caused by the plug you inserted in the socket.

It is a fuse, blown due to the plug used in the socket.

Says replaced cig lighter fuse. 61-13-1-372-518 fuse :H6110D.

But I checked other sockets and swapped fuses and I could not get it to work.

Was the panel below the glove box removed for some reason and someone failed to reconnect the connector for the accessory socket?

Car did go in for service on Monday, although I can't see any reason why they'd remove that panel but it's worth a check I suppose.

F me you were right! Dealers must have removed that panel while car was in for service!

Thanks a lot!!

So it appears that the cabin filter (microfilter) is under the passenger side of the dash which is why the dealers had taken it off!

You're welcome.

How many miles / km were on the car that the cabin filter was swapped?

Non-North American cars get their microfilters changed every oil service.
USA ones every 2nd if I remember correctly

Many DIY'ers do it much more frequently to keep the activated carbon fresh and filtering out bad smells.

I just had the exact same issue.

Bought a new 12v charger for the phone.
Tried it in all the sockets and the under-glovebox one wasn't working.
Whilst not a deal breaker it's definitely a cool extra 12v socket I was pleased to have.
A quick search brought me to this thread.
Off came the panel and I saw, just like above, the socket had been disconnected.
Reconnected it, put it back together and it works.

This is forum usage summed up perfectly.

So, I'm having the same issue as the OP, only opposite. The socket under the glove box is working (where I have my radar plugged in), but the one underneath the center stack is not.

Could be a fuse I guess. Anyone know which fuse, or somewhere I can look to identify them?

Or just take it in? Lol

Looks like fuse 66 or 69 in the box behind the glovebox:

It worked! Thanks again!

I took the fuse from 162 and used it to replace 66 (center stack). Not sure what 162 goes to. I’m guessing it’s the fuse for the 12v outlet in the back seat, but I don’t have that one in my car. So if I don’t have it, guess I don’t need the fuse, lol!
