Where is OBD port and do I need an adapter?

Ok, so I feel like a total moron for having to ask this. 2017 330i, trying to connect a code reader. Everything I can find says OBD port is in driver’s footwell. I see what looks like one but definitely not the right size or regular OBD port I would expect.

What gives?

UPDATE:

Got it sorted, will leave this here in the event there are others with the same issue. There is a clip that secures the OBD port, the tab broke and allowed the connector to recess up into the clip.

Fix: press center tab with flat head screw driver and use a right angle pick through either hole on the side to pull out the clip. The OBD connector will then be reunited with this dimension. Toss the clip in the bin and move on.

help locating OBD port on F30 320i

I am trying to figure out where the access is to the OBD for son-in-law. My 335Xi OBD is a total mystery to me and I assume 320i (his is RHD) is the same, but I have no idea where either mine or his would be.

Can someone send instructions for locating the OBD port on a 320 i (preferable RHD info)? And also a pix showing how to access it?

I never had this problem on my other cars...feel sort of silly.

Thanks.,

There's a little door above the bonnet latch.

It's on the right hand side of the car? No wonder I couldn't find it.
