No, it was hit on the other side in the side skirt and undercarriage on the left side. There was no frame damage and it was an easy fix. I'll show the car in a bit when I get it back.
ah nice i'm glad, i worry when people get nice cars that are flooded, i would take a body damaged car all day long over flooded

Of course, flood cars are the worst. You'll spend more money trying to get them back to its normal state than fixing bodywork. I'll never buy any car with flood damage to begin with.

They're very scary, but can be huge discounts.

My pop bought a CLS63 AMG, originally from the Texas floods. He got it out to under $35k for a car with low mileage that the market had for $50k-55k.

Sounds great, until the electronic gremlins start after a couple of years. Of course I hope that won't happen in your father's case.

Four years later, only issues have been airmatic suspension failure (100% failure rate on these models, especially after what, a decade?) and PRE-safe braking, which we haven't necessarily tested

Great! If you're lucky the car was only flooded with "clean" rain water (no solved minerals or salt), has the battery been disconnected before the flood, and have the sensitive electronics been rinsed with demineralized water after the flood and dried well before reconnecting the battery. Of course that's if you're very lucky, but most people aren't...
