Key fob will not click in properly

My key fob keeps on not clicking into my car. It'll pop in and pop out without staying in. I have to pop it in and out several times until it finally stays in. My starter is faulty I believe because my car will not start when my battery has full voltage. Any ideas why my fob is doing this?

I think you posted this question in the wrong forum, your car is a 228i, probably should have been in the E60 area?

If you fob won't stay in the ignition, push the fob in with some increased force till you hear it click, past the clips. Start the car and drive, then eject it properly.

Having a low voltage battery issue will also cause this issue. I would fix your starter wiring and or battery issue first and the fob issue likely will go away.

My battery shows 12 volts. Can it be a starter issue? I feel like my starter is bad

Do you know who can diagnose your cars problem better than people who have never seen your car.... a fkn mechanic or someone who can actually sit in your car.

I wouldn't just replace the starter because, you will have to properly diagnose, if that is your issue. I would suggest having a mechanic look it over since you don't seem inclined to test the electrical system on a vehicle with the proper equipment. Even I wouldn't know where to start, electrical issues are best let to the professionals.
