Error Code & 'Bouncing' Revs
I bought my 2013 330d about a month ago. I have stage 1 remapped it with a reputable company - with figures around the 320/330bhp figure.
The EGR and DPF are still in the vehicle. A few days ago I noticed when I turned the car on the revs were bouncing (at idle) up and down very gradually as if I was revving softly. It did this a few times over the day and has not done it since. Today I scanned the car using BimmerLink and have the error code: '2AF600' 'Rail pressure Sensor Deviation Test: Permissible Rail Pressure Correction Too high' Does anyone know what the cause of this could be, and is the error code and the bouncing revs linked? The car appears to drive perfectly fine - but I am cautious of unknowingly causing damage. The MPG is also quite low from what I have heard from other people who own the same car - averaging around 25/30mpg (but I have only just got the car and am accelerating quite rough). Any input would be greatly appreciated! |
