Sunday morning for us . Have been invited for a nice breakfast in the kitchen which I refused ..

..as..

Have just drunk nettle tea... Had to, not because it's so nice or my favourite.

And singing Oh "happy" day...

Weather is miserable here.

So preparing for some home movie or just surfing/reading.

And collect all brake pads data from car parts site

I believed you right up to the Audi bit. Next you will telling us skodas are brilliant and handle really well with their rear live axle.

Well as its Mothers day today, I got up at 0700 and took the dog out.

Both me and pups are recovering from a hard days 'Dogging' session yesterday at Sutton Park...

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

So today will be a feet up day

Wife out with daughter for most of it.

Admittedly she is still sulking over the Rugby

Six nations is always a fun time in our household..

True! But you have to add loads of things to get it to the same spec. When I was looking at 320d xdrive, the 25% discount and subsequent monthlies meant that by the time I'd specced up the octavia 4x4 to similar levels it was about £25/pa more even with the discount!

Bonjour, Good morning, Salam, Kalimera.

Awoke at 6.30 am and answered Nature's big call. Could not go back to sleep. Went for a long walk and rushed back to answer another Nature's call. Had a light breakfast. Did my finger and toe nails. Showered. More tea and back on the throne. Got a sore arse now.

I know this is TMI. But we have known one another on this forum through thick and thin! So why not?!

They are doing some good deals on the VRS at the moment which comes with a fairly heavy spec as standard. Something lik 1.5k down and 199pcm over 2 years.

I tried a new Yeti last year when we were thinking about replacing our old 4x4 which gets some light off road use, and it felt pretty cheaply made with disappointing plastics, even though it was the £23k 170hp Elegance TDi model.

I have been in one or two (probably base model) Octavias as taxis in Paris as well which also felt very cheap.

Are other Skodas better than this?

No they are all like that.

The way you have to look at the bread and butter of the VAG group is as follows:

Skoda - The budget range
Seat - The something different to the mainstream shite range
VW - The mainstream shite range
Audi - The premium mainstream shite range

In each class of car, Underneath they are all the same thing.

Took the IS300h back after 24 hour test drive and all I can say is......good riddance....like the Idea and the looks, for some strange reason?
But the centre console and the general layout/ texture and colours was not what I was expecting on a marque that plays on the 'premium' brand

But it got better after lunch.....just had a play in a M4, and all I can say is it's effing awesome, and I'm jealous of all the people who can justify/afford one...

Well. Woke up for early training session spent three and a half hours being slammed to the ground by gig sweaty men and grappling with them

Now aching

Nicks comment reminds me must watch invasion of the body snatchers.

I'd say skoda and seat are more on a par, my bro in law has a new Octavia and sis has a new Ibiza, I'd place them equally in quality. The Octavia is not that bad to be honest, come a long way, not BMW standard but not bad (that said some BMW plastics are awful!)
