Talking BMW F30 USA - ordering will start next week

Just got a call from -------- BWM, Phoenix AZ. I was told that they're starting to take orders next week for an estimated ship date towards the end of Feb 2012. I was also told that he'll send me a US brochure next week.

Anyone has spoken to your local BMW dealer about ordering?

Needless to say, I am super excited.

Edit: Decided to leave out the dealership information. Not sure if it may cause problems for them.

Absolutely, will do. However, I think we'll have more leaked information before I get my hands on the pricing/details.

Don't count on it. I ordered an '07 E93 in its second month of allocations - no pricing yet available at that time.

I don't understand. How can you order a vehicle without pricing? I'd like to know what the price is before purchasing a $40k vehicle! I guess they just book your name in the production que?

I put in a pre-order a couple weeks ago and have a production number and ED delivery date assigned. It's still not a firm order as that isn't required for ED until closer to production time (at least that's my understanding - this is my first ED). But I don't see why you couldn't go ahead and order now...

I'd say the important thing is to have your CA get your order in the "Order Bank", which should claim you a spot in the production queue even if the full details of the order can't be done yet.

Yea, i think thats what he mentioned, i guess i thought, since i have the pricing and ordering guide, he would have that also. But i will probably just give the deposit and get put on the list and wait till i can select my options. Thanks

undecided on the steering and msport suspension options.

Curious what you decide. I'm stuck on the suspension as well. Currently thinking just sport suspension as I like the traditional firm BMW suspension...but tough call though!

Yea, i had sport suspension on my 335, and it wasn't adaptive. I loved that suspension, nice and stiff and sporty when i need it to be, but smooth on the highway. The only benefit i see the adaptive suspension having is the 4/10 inch drop. I will most likely pass on this option. I am having a harder time with this variable ratio steering. For 300 bucks its one of those "why the hell not" but i have no clue what the standard is like, or the new one, just a tough one.
