I just did my resonator delete like half an hour ago on my mpe and you hear the burble and pops a bit more but thats really about it. Its a slight upgrade from the mpe on its own. I feel like im still looking for another 5 % upgrade in sound but i definately would say resonator delete is a must for mpe. Theres no drone at all and the exhaust note is definately enhanced. The MPE with resonator delete is how the exhaust should have sounded from factory. Im hoping i get that extra 5% sound once the full system adjusts. I'll post an update in a few weeks.

It definitely will get louder after a week or two. When I first got my resonator delete I was so dissapointed but now it sounds great, especially on cold start ups. But I will get downpipe soon! Another trick is to lower your rear seats so you can here it better.

Have you noticed any drone in addition to it getting louder overall?

Very little drone in my opinion. The car has great sound insulation, so if you have the windows up you can hardly hear it. I didn't notice how loud it was till I took a GoPro video and put my rear seat down.

I'm sure you can get a kit somewhere that just uses clamps, but you are more prone to exhaust leaks and in my opinion it doesn't look as clean. But it is not that often you look underneath anyways.

Some cars might be different. I believe my car(The F34 GT) Has one large resonator instead of two smaller ones like the other 3 series. I'm not sure if you have something different as well, but just be aware that not all 3series look the same on the bottom.
