Personally - I wouldn't go w/ a rim fatter than 9"- 9.5" max. Even w/ that offset, you might be sticking out well past the fender. 265 tires should be fine (I've seen 275 and still looked fairly flush w/ the fender). All depends on the rim + offset. Go w/ a 9.5" +33 offset and you'll be a lot better off (weigh less).

It all depends on personal prefernce, but I wouldn't do it (might end up w a bad result). See diagnostic below:

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp?item=Wheel-Tire size comparer&sw1=255&ar1=35&bd1=19&rw1=8.5&et1=47&sw2= 265&ar2=35&bd2=19&rw2=10.0&et2=25&text1=&text2=

If the offset is 25 it won't fit.

I ran these rims on my e92 335 XI coupe, but I had to roll the fender, and it still rubbed alittle , only on one side though

I'm on 9.5" with 275 and get rubbing with a full car when the suspense travels a lot. Usually just when backing out of steep driveway or whatever, never while driving. I also can't imagine the tires sticking out anymore. On H&R and a 10", you are going to rub like craycray with 285.

I wish it would work... I'm trying to figure out how I can get a 19x10 to work without lowering springs.

I ordered 19x10 Forgestars last night. They confirmed with 265's it will not rub with H&R Sports. They have other customers with the setup and it's perfect. I was going to do 275/30's, but this is the safe bet. Remember, some of you are spending $$$ to get light wheels, tires seem to pick up a lb of unsprung weight by going up a size or two.

I forgot the number. It's aggressive, I think we are matching the stance of this car pictured:

19x9.5 ET38 Rear with 275/35/R19

It might be better with 275/30 instead but I got the tires used from another member so there was no picking a size. Whenever I need new tires I'm going to go with 265's.

It looks fine on the car, but see what I mean? Can't imagine the rears sticking out any more than that.

I went with Gunmetal F14's(as pictured), 19x8.5(19x9 pictured) in the front. Didn't want to add too much weight.

I paid a lot of attention to tire weight when shopping for tires. I'll be going with either Continental ExtremeContact DW or Michelin Super Sports. They are the lightest I could find. If I go with 285/30 in the rear, I'll have to get the Conti, 265/35 rear, I'll get Michelin.

When I ordered them, they said that Forgestar custom makes the wheel to your car's specs so that it sits flush. As long as it doesn't stick out, I'm fine with that. I would guess its 42-45 with the 10" in the back.

I think you're rubbing b/c the 275/35 is almost an inch taller than the 285/30 tire. That added height and depending on your wheel offset will cause the rubbing.

My main concern with the 265/35 on a 10 wide wheel is the 'stretch' look. I currently have 245/35 on a 8.5" wheel on my other car and it looks perfect. Not really stretched at all.

I had 265/35 on a 10" wheel with my M3 ZCP. Looked perfect. But I wouldn't want to go any more stretched than that.

I have 10.5" rears with 265's on my Roadster in my sig. Granted, I can fit 295's which I will do next time, but the 265's look fine.

Im running a 275 tire on a 10" wheel. My offset is in the mid 30s and I only rub very very slightly going up/down parking garages. +25 offset would poke way too much in my opinion

scarecrowboat,

can you take a picture of the area where the tire meets the rim? a close up picture please. I'd like to see how much stretch there is.

Thank you

I'd go 245/35/19 on those to make it fit. i had 245/35/19 on my previous x10.5 and it gives it a nice stretch. However, if you're going with that sort of stretch, I'd recommend you slam your car.

Previous rims:
LE37, 19x9.5, 225/35/19; 19x10.5, 245/35/19

That's way too stretched for my taste. I think I'm going to have to order 265/35 to make sure it doesn't rub but I really want the 285 look. Decisions decisions. At least I have another two weeks for the wheels to get here so I can change my mind five more times .
