Can I order my car in advance of lease expiring so it's ready for me @ lease turn in?
So the car I want seems to be specific for some reason, He can't find this combination anywhere locally so It seems I need to order:
F30 328i Jet Black Black Leatherette Lighting Package -------------------------------------------------------------- I have 6 Payments left: March 25 April 25 May 25 June 25 July 25 Aug 25 (Turn in car Sept 25) It seems the general timeframe for ordering a car to delivery is ~2 months, I want to take advantage of the 3 month early lease program. Can I have the dealer order my car now, I'll put a deposit or whatever, and when It gets here roughly ~May 12, I'll be @ 3 lease payments left, maybe 4 and go pick up my car?? It seems if I wait till exactly May 25th (when I will officially have 3 payments left), my car wouldn't be ready till July anyways, same concept if I want till my lease turn in Sept 25, I'd have to extend my current lease till my car gets here, how can you avoid this when you have to order a car from factory?? I don't want to extend my lease any further than I need... What's the earliest I'm able to hound my CA to order my car? |

I can't speak for that specific dealer, etc., but Seattle BMW told me that you could extend the lease for up to 6 months past it's end date if and only if you had another car actively on order, with money down. So it sounds like it's definitely something they're supportive of.

What I mean is, you probably won't have to worry about getting it down to the day. I.e., it's delayed a month--you won't have to worry about not having a car for that time. As far as the logistics--sure, you'll be signing a lease on the day you turn it in, so there's nothing special there. You'll definitely need to talk to the dealer, though--they can basically say or do whatever they want, provided there's a contract (and it's in their favor).

Sure you can order your car now, but the pull ahead program will only pick up 3 payments. If it gets here and you have four left, you'll eat one. Five left, eat two.

So I guess my question is do you lock the BMW Pull ahead just like u do other incentives?
If I order my car now, and it comes 2 months from now and the pull ahead program no longer exists what happens? Am I then forced to eat ALL payments or am I grandfathered in? |

talk to your dealer about it they should be plenty accommodating and have a good idea how long it takes for an ordered car to come in. If it comes in early by a week or so they will hold onto it until your lease is up.

I ordered my car 3 months before my past lease expired. It arrived on time (actually about a week before) and they just held it until my lease end date. I came in and swapped the cars!

So how did that work, were all of your incentives/residuals/MF's locked in from date of order or did you have to take whatever was available 3 months later?

You can lock in to the rates when you order but you can also take advantage of better rates and deals at pick up, talk to your dealer for specifics.

I guess the problem here is that I can lock in residuals/incentives but I can't lock in Early Lease Turn in, so it's kind of a catch 22 have to wait it out i guess

When I ordered the car I had two options. I could either take the rates from the month I ordered the car or the ones when the car arrived; whichever were better.
Regarding turning your car in early BMW has had very reasonable rates for like the past 4 years. I'm sure you will be fine if you have to wait until September.... I used to try to turn in my E92 early multiple times and it never worked in my favor. Just wait so you don't owe extra money on top of your lease. |
