I'm planning on doing a few mods on the car so thought I'd start my own thread for it.

Black Exhaust Trim Mod:

I know a few guys on here have already done the exhaust mod, but thought as it's the first mod I've done on the car since I got it last week I'd share...

I've never been a fan of chrome and I think its odd that the car comes standard with a chrome tip exhausts when everything else is black/grey.

With help/advise from McBeemer on here, I ordered the black ones from Phil at Cotswold.

Didn't take long to do. A simple yet effective mod.

Dual USB Ports added...

I use the USB port in the arm rest for the iPod to connect to the car. I connect my iPhone to the car via Bluetooth to use with apps etc. My old car had a USB port in the glove box but this one does not.

I initially charged my phone using the 12v socket next to the cup holders but it looked messy. I did see some threads on here for using the one behind the headunit but went for the quick easy option as I didn't want to take the dash apart. Pleased with the results as it all works.

Tapped into the 12v socket feed under the dash. This powers my dash cam and now 2 USB ports.

Just an update to my car thread with 2 minor mods...

Black mirror covers:

Managed to get a pair of OEM ones in BSM from a fellow forum member. Might still get them done Gloss Black but looks ok for now

Tinted Rear Lights:

Wrapped in a light smoked tint along with the reflectors, close to the shadow edition look....

Next on the list is:

ACS Springs
Eibach Spacers
LED reverse lights

Double slat grill added in gloss black

It's a good sign when your other half shereen encourages you do these things

P.S - I think I need a new phone. iPhone 6 pics are wack!

Cars looking great. I like the subtle tint to the rear lights, it does look close to the oem shadow clusters. I think it's easy to go ott when doing this and it ends up looking a bit cheap/chavvy

Autotintz do a light smoke or a dark smoke film. The dark one looked wrong and didn't suit the car.

All the same, that link should be for RHD footrest, a lot don’t sell the footrest or they’re for LHD

Just an update to my own thread....

ACS Springs and Eibach Spacers ( 10/12) fitted to the car today

I've had the car since Nov 17 and have done a few bits to it:

M Perf Kit added on when purchased
Black chrome exhaust tips
Tinted rear lights & reflectors
Black mirror covers
Dual Slat M3 style grille
Dual USB ports added
Front and rear dash cams
Silver/black pedal covers
Bimmercode coding (various)
LED reverse lights (on order with Horizon LED)

I don't think i'll be doing anymore to the car (well who knows ) for the near future as I have to shift my priority to getting my house done up and then focus on the wedding next year!

Still pending and on the wish list:

340i style exhaust
Remap
M Perf steering wheel or at least the 'M' steering trim
20" Alloys - but i think I might just stick with 19s

I've now got the car to how I'd like it so far. I want to spend more time appreciating what I have and enjoy it to the max . I count myself very lucky to have such a car and be able to modify it the way I want it.
