EBT via Bimmercode
I've tried searching but I couldn't the answer.
Can someone please post up how to code EBT via Bimmercode? I have the NBT, Pro Nav.

I don't think I'm alone in using that list with no reported problems. So I'll leave it to others to use at their discretion where they have the same car and HU I specified in my post.

Problems with the idrive seems most common issue after using BimmerCode so I've stayed clear of coding anything on the head unit. No problems so far doing a few bits of coding on other modules for me.

Clearly I was wrong so even less reason to avoid the EBT coding - just do it. As you were

I'm glad I did mine before this thread appeared, otherwise it may have talked me out of it.
I now have EBT on my NBT Pro Nav and everything else still works

How can I check if I have EBT?
I have two roof microphones and pretty certain I can have two phones take calls at the same time... and I get iPhone music artwork appearing on the display when it’s playing via BT... ... but I don’t have the USB under the radio controls... and an online vin/chassis code checker said my car didn’t have it. |

Sounds like you have it. You don't need USB under the radio to have it.
Is there a previous owner who could have coded it?

The first owner was BMW, a sub-business thing, looked up and they manage the import storage locations for BMW, so unlikely they coded it.
I just tried to buy Apple Play and it wouldn’t let me, so given I have pro nav I’m curious what I’m missing (EBT afaik) I might have to buy Bimmercode and take a look what’s what. |

The EBT coding solution that I posted in post #3 proved unreliable in that I could not get two phones to consistently connect simultaneously. So I backed out and tried a solution from a German site...
HU_NBT > AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC 3002 > AUDIO_OFFSET = aktiv HU_NBT > AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC 3002 > MICROPHONE_NUMBER = wert_2 HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > USB_AVAILABLE = aktiv HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > CDMM_USB_AUDIO = all HU_NBT > SYSTEM_EINSTELLUNGEN 3004 > SOFTWARE_UPDATE_ASSISTANT = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > ADRESSBOOK = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > API_CAR_TYPE_IPOD_LOGO = bmw HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > API_MP4_ON_OFF = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > AUDIO_PLAYER_ON_OFF = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > BLUETOOTH_2ND_HFP = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > BT_MODUL_ON_OFF = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > CALENDAR_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > CONTACT_BOOK_PICTURES = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > CONTACTS_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > DATACOMM_CSIM = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > EMAIL_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > ENT_BTAS_METADATA = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > EXTERNAL_CALL_LISTS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > MACRO_PIM = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > PHONE_CONFERENCE_CALL = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > PHONE_TYPE = internal_phone HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > PIM_BILDER_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > REMINDER_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > SINGLE_OR_MULTILINK = multilink HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > SMS_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > SWUP_SOURCE_USBMSCDD = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > TASK_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > TEXT_NOTES_EIN_AUS = aktiv HU_NBT > TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 > TWO_PHONES_PARALLEL = aktiv This seems to be a broadly adopted solution but I cannot get two phones simultaneously active. One connected, the other paired in any combination of the two. With each phone having BT streaming when connected. I'm coming to the conclusion this is not possible using Bimmercode with the HU_NBT unit. |

I usually select my work phone to calls via the Tel button on the iDrive controller and my personal phone for audio books via the Media button, selecting Bluetooth as the media feed.

Thanks, that's not the solution I'm searching for. I want two phones simultaneously connected for incoming/outgoing calls. So far I have not achieved that reliably (in fact with the latest coding not at all, but at least it's stable in all other respects), despite others claiming to have done so. In all other respects EBT is working for streaming from either phone. It may be significant that I have Business Nav, not Pro Nav.

You're absolutely right, as mine also can have both phones connected but only 1 as Telephone and 1 for Streaming, not both for Telephone or both for Streaming. You literally have to select between them. Shame, as I would also find that quite handy for when the wrong phone rings.

You appear to be in advance of me. I can only connect 1 phone, the other is shown as paired. When it's working as I desire if you go into Configure Device the telephone will have options "Telephone 1" and "Telephone 2". 1 means it's used for outgoing calls and can receive incoming, 2 means it can receive incoming. These options are not presented in my iDrive, only "Telephone 1" and only one phone can be active/connected at any time. You have to manually swap between them. I'm stuck for a solution as I have investigated in depth and tried every published solution.
