Hi, I've a semi successful evening coding. At one point I accidentally hit the 'Code Default Values' button, when the iDrive restarted I lost a load of functions inc telephone! Lucky I restored and everything is back in it's right place.

Anyway I wanted to added BMW Live, I followed the instructions that demge01 used (enable ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE), I get the option and the service starts up but it's taking ages to start. I waited 10+ mins for Live to start and in the end it said: "Current mobile communication network is not supported by BMW Live" , I had my iPhone BT to the car.

Anyone know if I need to enabled something else?

Thanks.

Just don't understand why the vehicle FA was updated as well since I didn't write the modified FA back to the car
If you didn't write the change to the car, then it is impossible to read that change back from the car. Maybe in the midst of it all you just contused the car VO with your modified VO.

Last night I lost power while coding the FEM_01 module, today when I try to read the coding data I get this error:
ransaktions-Report: Aktion: Codierdaten lesen

FEM_BODY [40] [ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇ]
readCPS o.k.
cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255 Fehler:
File for "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

I have the original file, how I can restore it?

Any help will be appreciated.

You need to add the CAFD back to FEM_BODY and VO Code the ECU:

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read VCM => Left-Click on FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD matching your I-Level => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

To determine your I-Level, go to VCM Module => VCM Master Tab => click Read under I-Steps. The I-Step (current) is the one you want to match when you select the CAFD from the "Detect CAF for SWE" options (e.g. F020-12-11-502).

I tryed do it again, reset ECU to VO and change those 3 codes by drop-downs.
It's not working.
I think it is because of russian localisation...
I need a .NCD file from E30 with working passenger SBR to compare with my .NCD file.

You mean from an F30, not E30?

Does this car have factory Comfort Access with the door handle ridges?

Ok. We will try it another way.

Try adding K-Wort OI12 to your VO under the FA HO-Wort Section, then calculate FP and make sure it appears to the right under Aftermarket_Fitment, then Save FA, Load the FA, then VO Code CAS and FRM.

Shawn, I have factory installed non-active passenger SBR (it's default for Russia). I want to activate passenger SBR instead of that.

I haven't an OI12 option in K-Words folder.

Sorry. I thought you were trying to disable it, not enable it.

Still, very strange that with all 3 codes aktiv, it does not work.

What about adding option 845 to your VO if it is not there, and then VO Coding CAS and FRM?

I have 845 option in VO. SBR is working for driver (acoustic and display warnings), but not for passenger...

I think that problem is relating to probable absence of passenger sensor mat in cars made for Russia (there is not S230A option in VO).

If I set Sitzpositionssensor_Beifahrer to active I see an error of the passengеr's SRS on iDrive and instrument cluster.

Thank you Shawn, I was able to add the CAFD to that module, now I can close my windows with the keyfob.

I coded the TPM but only see the psi and degrees lables not the values, should I try again? Also the Inband ringing is not working.

For TPMS to work, you need option 2VB. Do you have it?

Inband Ringing is phone specific. Not all phones work.

The TPM values only show when you're driving. The values will show up after about a minute.

If they still don't show after that, the you don't have the TPMS sensors and you are SOL.

I've only seen in-band ringing on an F30 if you have an iPhone. It does not work on Android.

These are the only 2* values I have, I guess I will have to accept that I can only have the green indicators on the TPM screen.
