Looking at replacing my E46 with a F32 potentially, some street comfort KW's sound nice.
KW V2s. Probably the best mod I bought. I had H&R coil overs before and they were much harsher and bouncier. KWs ride so nice and above all quiet. No clinking or spring pop noises like many of the other coil overs people mention.

I ride on 20 s

U have to be a bit more cautious

But ride quality is not night and day diff from 18s

I have Oem 20s. Their not so bad with the Pirelli Rft

Overall j can tolerate the 20s

Psi does change with rim size

That helps

Look in ur manual

1lb in increased wheel weight = 2.5lbs in additional chassis weight.

Unless you are going to buy some stupid expensive lightweight forged 20" wheel and tire combo (does that even exist?) you are probably going to add 15lbs (at least) per wheel x 4 wheels = 60lbs x 2.5 = 150lbs in additional rotational weight. It will be like driving around with another person in your car permanently affecting performance, handling and fuel economy.

If you don't care about that, go for it.

Talk me into 20's because I don't think you can. I'll just pull the trigger on some aggressive 19's with mean tires.

my car is my daily & 40 minute commuter over fun roads. its a 435 m-sport sport 8AT, currently with 18 inch wheels and stock RFT.

There are pictures of F36's with 20 inch wheels and the wheel size fits the car nicely. The gran coupe is a large enough car for 20s to work. I think I'd hate the thin sidewalls and the harsh ride (especially if i did springs). I'm not willing to daily drive a $60k car that has a harsh ride.

thoughts?
I have some 1552's 19's with tires for sale, if you are interested. 3-piece f40 tarmac. PM if interested.

20x9 BBS CH-R with P Zeros 275/30 was 1,5 kg less each vs. OEM 19" 255/35 bi-color 442 with RFT... I checked when I switched.

Btw I'm happy with ride quality even with ACS springs and super crappy roads here in northern Sweden.

I also have 20" with 235/35 and 275/30 on my F36 X-Drive. Never regretted it. Live in Norway and where I live we have bad roads. Not a problem whatsover and compared to my Girlfriends 1series with 17" runflats the difference is not much... My car is currently not lowered but will be, just have to decide on type of springs etc..

What is the weight of the 19s compared to the 20's? Thanks
