That 10.2lbs not, but saving another 10.2lbs on the other front side and saving about 50lbs on the wheels will count up.
So the total of all savings will affect performance....

Reducing unsprung weight is always a good thing, but I didn't feel a 10 lb. difference between the front rotors. I think I want to weigh them now. The OEM rotors are pretty heavy though.

Not always. If you're pulling a Trailer and drive down the alp pass streets, brake faiding can easily occure on most stock brakes.
If the driver does not shift back to lower gears for using engine brake.
But engine brake on turbo engines is not very effective compared to regular aspirated engines. So with the F30, you better have fading resistant brakes in those situations!

+1. 10lbs is a lot of rotating mass. There's some multiple, at least with wheels, that will tell you the effective difference in curb weight. I think it's 5-10lbs per pound, but someone should correct me.

Also the calipers are very light. I was shocked when I picked one up. No numbers, sorry. I haven't personally seen 335 M-sport brakes, but the M-performance calipers seem very rounded and hollow. As if they hold more fluid.

I agree with you taking your location into consideration. Here in the US, it's a completely different world. You'll NEVER see someone towing here in the US as you will on your side of the Atlantic. We also aren't blessed with anything even remotely close to the Alps...

Damn, I wish that I had weighed my M-Performance calipers/rotors before I had them installed. With that said, the front calipers of the M-Sport/M-Performance brake upgrade are the same as the OEM 2014 335i M-Package brakes, so there was really no gain there except for the front rotors/pads and the aesthetic appeal of gold calipers with ///M logos..

Online Datasheet says they are both 8lbs per caliper.
Original caliper (with 340x30mm rotor) and M Performance Brake caliper (with 370x30mm rotor)
Front Brake pads for M Perfomance Brakes are a bit less. But Peanuts.

They've come a long way then. I recently sold a set of e46 M3 ZCP calipers and they were heavy as hell.
