another wheel fitment question
I want to purchase some 20 inch wheels for my 435i gran coupe I know a 20x10.5 fits the rear with a +45 offset, now would a 20x9.5 +40 fit in the front, car will be lowered on eibach springs 25mm front and 20mm rear, tires will be 245 in the front and 275 in rear, just concerned about the inner clearance don,t want to hit the strut, any help would be apperciated

I'd presume you're trying to achieve a 'distinctive' look for your 435 Grand Coupe
But have you ever stopped to consider: - The 435GC's suspension was designed, tested and fine-tuned for optimal all-round performance on tires mounted on 18-in. or 19-in. wheels - More performance-oriented 435 owners generally have the staggered setup with 19s - Owners who insist upon even higher levels of performance and handling with the F32 platform will opt for the 424-hp M3 or M4. - But even those high-performance models are optimized and tested (on the famous Nordschleife - Nürburgring racetrack) with 19-in. setups. Installing 20-in. setups on a 435 gives a certain 'look' and allows owners to spend more on their wheels and tires. But it's not really a *performance* look and not something that the platform was designed for. Yes, you can buy a Porsche 911 GTS with 20-in. wheels, but that platform was designed, tested and manufactured with that setup in mind. Just something to consider. |

I am not a racer and 20 will be fine, just want to know if a 20x9.5 +40 will clear the inner strut, but thanks for the info and only one to reply

I would guess 20s should work just fine for cruising ... |
