Pinhole in drive shaft boot anything to worry about?
My car was in at dealers today for leak on ns diff/ shaft.
They phoned me and told me I had a hole in my drive shaft. This had me rather concerned until I went to collect it and they Clarified it was a pin hole in the gaiter. Is this something to be Overly worried about or minor and keep an eye on it? Rear control arm is also bent is this an easy DIY job on rwd f30? Tia! |

Hole in the boot is MOT fail.
It may also let in crud, mud and water to seriously shorten the joint life. It may also let out grease, also shortening the joint life. It's not going to heal up. Replace it. |
