Problem with iPhone contacts syncing with iDrive

Ever since the new iOS 13 update my phone has not synced properly with the car …… anyone else had this issue?

Not this time around but I have had issues in the past with contacts and also music not playing properly. Basically it used to just play a random song over and over again and wouldn't let me change it.

I downloaded an update from the BMW Connected Drive website for bluetooth and it was fine after that. You can down load Bluetooth updates for free onto a USB and then pop that in the car and update via the iDrive. You just need to make sure you format your USB first so the car finds it

Yeah, I've had this too ever since the upgrade - quite a few numbers don't seem to get converted into names and if I go into contacts entries are missing...worked perfectly with iOS 12.x ☹️

I've not updated the iDrive software yet as I was worried it might impact my iDrive 6 lite coding, but the lack of syncing is getting a little annoying now...

I had the issue with iOS 13.1 and many contacts missing and lack of skipping tracks on playlists with the steering wheel buttons or idrive dial. 13.2 seems to have fixed it.

+1 on the 13.2 Update.

Thought it was my car playing up again, but the loaner with 1200 miles also didn't work.

Apple are always too quick to claim it's a manufacturer problem, except this time it was all of them on the Apple forums (Toyota, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Kia...).
