Yes, no problem.

You might want 15 mm rear spacers to push the rear wheels out equally flush as the fronts.

But since style 397 are square wheels, 225/45-18 is the OEM size (both front and rear). 245/40-18 square will fit fine as well.
Perfect, will start with the rear ones and later with the fronts.

Thanks

I'm running the standard staggered 225/45-18 on the front and 255/40-18 on the rear. Can I use the 225/50-17 as a spare? Let's say one rear tire is damaged, can I replace it with the 17" spare for 100 miles?
Thanks

Yes!

225/50-17 has the same diameter as the staggered 18" OEM setup.

Hi everybody,

Quick question: will Alpina R19 wheels with the following characteristics fit my 2013 F30 328i Xdrive?

R19 8.5 5/120 ET24 FRONT
R19 9.5 5/120 ET30 REAR

And I heard that staggered setup is not recommended for Xdrive?

Thoughts and opinions.

Thank you.
8.5x20" ET47 is possible but you will need spacers for front strut clearance. You probably need 10-12 mm since you plan to run 245/35 tires.

I would instead recommend a square setup with four 8" front wheels. 245 fits perfectly fine on 8" wide wheels and there is no need for spacers.

8x20" ET36, 245/35-20

Hey all, for some reason its been a week and i don't have permission to post a new thread so apologies for asking my question here.

Another Wheel Size and Offset question:

I have a 2013 328i drive standard with 17" standard wheels (225/50R17). I want to put on a pair of BBS SR 18" wheels that came of a 2012 650i xdrive onto my F30 but i read that the offset is different between the 2 cars. When i checked tire rack its saying that the offset of this wheel is 32mm for both the 650i and 328i.

Is this correct?
Will these wheels fit?
Will i do any damage to my car?
Will i experience any bad handling?

** Tire size right now is: Dunlop Winter Sport 3D run flat tires, 245/45R18 (for the BBS SR 18")

It should be ET32 both for F12 and F30.

245/45-18 will fit on F30 as well, but remember the diameter is 2% taller than F30 OEM size (225/45-18).

My current setup is the OEM M405 (20" wheel staggered). What is the widest tire I can go in the rear? I also have the upgraded M Performance brakes, which it will need to clear.

The widest tire sizes for style 405 wheels according to the tire standard are 245 front (8" wide wheel) and 255 rear (8.5").

It's probably possible to fit even wider tires, but not recommended!

Tried searching but can't seem to find this:

What is the per-wheel weight of the 398 18" rims for the 2016 340i with Msport and Track Handling? I'm assuming due to the staggered setup that the weight is different between Front and Rear sizes, but interested to know.

Trying to decide if I should keep the 18" 398's with the factory MPSS tires as my summer wheel and just buy a set of 18/19s w/ All Seasons for November-March here in Richmond, or if I should drive the crap out of the MPSS's until November, and then order All-seasons to replace them, and then buy a new summer tire/wheel setup.

So I was on TireRack.com and you can sort by wheel weight and that got me thinking that I'd at least like to be as light if not lighter than the OEM wheel if I buy something.

THanks in advance!

A quick search indicates the following weights for style 398 wheels:
F: 8x18" ET34, 11.82 kg
R: 8.5x18" ET47, 11.95 kg

Looking at some winter wheels for my F30 2012 335i, I found some 17" oem from a 2003 323. Looking it seems the offset is around 47 or so. Will these fit? The lugs are m12x1.5 prior and now the f30 being m14x1.5 will it work if i just reuse my stock lugs?

I currently have the stock 18" Double Spoke Style 400M (M Sport wheels).

I want to switch to a square setup in the future would an offset of ET45 work in the front?

My future setup would be something like 18x8.5" 255/40-18. Im just not too sure on what offset would be best.

Offset around 35-40 will be fine with 255 tires and 8.5x18" wheels.

Hi All-

Just finalized my order for a 2017 340i xDrive with BOTH m-sport and track handling package.

I understand the vehicle will arrive with staggered MPSS tires.

I live in a cold and snowy climate, so I plan to swap out the tires for a winter set up (and maybe wheels) essentially the same day I take delivery.

Looking for advice on a couple items with regard to winter set up in this vehicle:

-Most of my research points to Xice-3's as being a great option to go with. Is that a general consensus as well?

-How strongly would you folks advise an extra set of wheels to keep the winter tires on vs. just swapping the tires on/off the wheels coming with my car?

-If the answer to the above is "definitely extra set of wheels for the winter tires" then how do I go about selecting wheel size? I've read about the m-sport brake clearance and believe I cannot go smaller than 18's, true? How about width, offset, spacers, etc? Based on this, tire size suggestions?

-If the answer to the above is that it's no problem to just use the wheels that come with the car and swap winters on and off, what would be the best tire size to go with? Square? I believe the wheels are staggered with the track package, so spacers??

Many thanks in advance.

Try find some OEM 8x18" ET34 take-off wheels, for example style 397.

Square 225/45-18 winter tires will fit fine on those wheels.

CVR 102 Rims

Hi, I have a set of wheels that I used on my previous car (F10) and I would like to use them on F30 now; from your knowledge and experience would you please be able to advise if 20x8.5 5x120 ET33 are suitable for Front & Back on F30 M-Sport (2013 Reg) with M-Sport Braking Upgrade?
My understanding is that the tyre width for 8.5J could be between 235 and 255 with no issues.
In this case, a perfect fit seems to be 235/35R20 for Front but, for the Back, instead of (recommended) 255/30R20 may I go for 255/35R20 as I already have them?
Appreciate your inputs and thank you all,
Axell

The F10 wheels will fit fine on your F30!

I would recommend a square 245/35-20 tire setup.
