Cool Retrofit F30 halogen to M4 concept headlights

So I looked around for a while how I can get my halogens retrofitted myself, so I came to the conclusion that it would be so much work, and hassle which I didn't have time for.

I recently asked a good family friend to help me out, so I decided to post a few updates and show them off a little because I haven't seen these done yet. Ofcourse and if anyone has any tips on what else I should add on or do.

The first update that I got,

update 2 covered up the chrome with carbon fiber, and added a little red. Removed the orange signal light.

Update 3

Update 4 added on a LED Strip on top.

Update 5

Update 6 Made it so the LED strip would operate as a white day time running light and change to a blinking orange signal light when signaling to change lanes

01/21/2016 update

If anyone has more ideas what I should add or remove I'm open for ideas!

Please let me know what you think!

Looks good, angel eyes should be etched or at least semi etched so they look better when they are off (hide the LED)

Thank you, could you please explain a little about how I could get that done?

Where do I get that product, and will it effect the brightness if it gets covered?

Thank you ahead

It does not effect brightness... To be honest with you i do not know how it would be done. We used to offer this kind of lights in the past but decided to stop it

That looks really nice. Curious to see how it looks on the with finished product but i have one concern, taking out the lens wont cause the headlight to oxidize faster than normal?

Yeah me too, can't wait for them to be done. I'll make sure to post an updated picture as soon as I get an updated picture.

They won't get oxidized the reason why is because it's getting sealed back with the same oem glue BMW uses to seal them togeter

Wow some pretty nice work already mate.. Agree on the covering of the LEDs! Shouldn't affect the brightness too much. In kitchens I usually use aluminum rails where the LEDs fit snugly in and they have some grooves at the edges to click in an etched plastic cap. The rail also helps with cooling. Not sure if that is easy to add in your case though. Subscribed

Bumping this for updates overall and curious where you got the LED strip you used up top. I've been looking at doing something like this in my X5M (angel eyes only) and the GF's 535xiT (angel eyes, more modern strip on the top then I really like the red and carbon fiber accents) to update the headlights without spending $6k for retrofits when I can and have done mods like this before on prior BMW's.
