Catless downpipes massive drone

Hi, I installed my VRSF catless downpipes yesterday on my 2015 428i and now all of a sudden my car drones a lot. You can feel the interior the car vibrate around 2k rpm. I have the awe quad touring exhaust (stock midpipe) on, and it didn’t drone at all. Some things I noticed when I was installing it, my car didn’t have the v-band that clamps the dp to the mid pipe (the toothed one, that is prone to breaking. Only an accuseal) nor did it have any gaskets. Only a clamp that connected the dp to the turbo. I suspect that maybe that could be the cause, but not sure yet. I've tried double checking and tightening all the clamps and seals to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea causing the drone?

Currently have a 3" downpipe, otherwise stock exhaust 12' 328i and it has no drone.
Exhaust clamps are fine, and I am certain that is not the cause of your drone, as I broke mine (Rusted threads, tore them right off) and it is currently leaking, still no drone inside the vehicle.

If its not too much trouble for you, try installing the stock muffler.

Do you have a tune to support the cat removal?

I have the VRSF down pipe and it sounds amazing, honestly your problem may be the exhaust flap.
Definitely hit up VRSF for those gaskets!

I'm a little worried about that lol
I have a muffler delete on my f30 335xi and it already drones a little cuz I set the flap to be always open and I'm afraid that once I install a vrsf catless dp it's gonna drone even more?

It will change the tone a good bit, and you’ll get more natural burble during deceleration.
You’re probably going to like it a whole lot.

Just make sure you have cold start off..

I love burbles, it already has natural burbles but only at 1st or 2nd gear so that's good news!

What do u mean by cold start off ?

If you're running a tune that gives the option (tune is highly recommended for bolt ons)
Turn cold start off, it's a night and day difference at startup.
Shoot since you have a 335 you might have access to a startup roar..

The downpipe will bring out those burbles and more of that spool!

Yeah after checking the fitment, we noticed that the midpipe was making contact. We replaced the gaskets just in case.

We fixed it I think. It still drones, but not as much as it did before.

Loving the downpipe by the ways, the pops and burbles on the downshifts are insane!!!
