I like the finish even more on the Red....the stock one is smooth, with the Red one you can feel the letters in the finish, it feels lux.

^this. I don't want the start/stop button being a focal point in the car..

The indent will be full of dead skin in a years time?

Not if you clean your car regularly.

The indent is not sharp or deep enough to accrue dead skin...lol the Napa leather on an M Sport steering wheel will wear down faster than these buttons will.

Honestly it's a great quality part for the price. Anyone who wipes down the dust from the air vents and center console every summer won't have an issue with this mod.

Truth

but then again there are a lot of things that are good enough for the M5 that they didn't include in my car

I will have to see one in person i think to really get the feel for it.

Yeah man I'm the same way. Honestly winters here and I had to find a way to continue spending money on my car - this $20 button was a simply click and buy now.

The install and outcome came out pleasantly better than expected. I'd recommend it and I'm picky.

Look, you don’t like it that’s fine, I get it...but it is so far from being a focal point...it’s the size of a quarter, you can hardly notice it unless you try. You cannot even see it from behind the wheel.

I suppose it could, if you never wash your hands OR clean the inside of your car...after about 10 years or so.

To each their own; it's just a start button to me. I like it blending into the dash more as it currently does. I don't need much tactile feel as long as it doesn't feel cheap. If it were made of metal I'd assume it'd get pretty hot in the car especially in areas like here (SoCal).

Agreed. Pretty $$ part for a piece of small plastic, but the quality and finish seem pretty top notch. Installation was a breeze.

Initially it looked like it was sticking out like a sore thumb, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Definitely added 5-10hp to the butt dyno

red is one of those colors that people always go crazy with trying to "accent" things. it's easy to go overboard.

while this isn't crazy, it looks just as out of place as it does on the m5. def not a fan.
