Ultimatone's AW 435 xDrive Build

Hello everyone, this will be my build thread for my newest project and love. I have been around the car scene for over 20 years and have been building all types of cars including STI's, Evo's and BMW's as well. I'm a bit rusty with my DSLR but had to take a few shots as it's been a bit warm this weekend around Boston. My goal is keep this thread to have history of all my mods and pictures taken

(the titles meaning is that this will be my 3rd BMW)

AWE Tuning Catback
M Performance Carbon Fiber trunk lip
M4 Carbon mirror covers
M double slat front grille
M Performance rear Diffuser
M Performance front lip

Spoiler is a JBSpeed

, mirrors are actual cover replacements and were from Ebay.

H&R Sport springs are here chilling waiting for the end of the month(end of winter) and AWE exhaust might be here next week so expect a video soon

Are you gonna get dinan bump stops or cut your own? I heard the car bottoms out quite a bit with the hnr

Just a little update on my AWE exhaust, I ordered the full catback on January 25th from Xtreme and I did not see it stated on their site that it's built to order. I asked a few times about the exhaust was told to expect it a few weeks into February. I was told again it would ship today only to be told just now via AWE that it will get "built" today and shipping out maybe this week. So as a heads up if you order an AWE exhaust expect well over a month to receive it.

So here is my video of my AWE Tuning exhaust. But first I want to give my review of my experience and the quality of the catback. As posted above I ordered my exhaust on Jan 25th and received it March 3rd this is without knowing that it would be built to order in which it does not say that at XPH. Also I went to my shop to install it this monday only find out that the guy had to trim one of the pipes that the tips go on. The shop tech said he trimmed the pipe so one of the tips can actually fit on so that it wasnt sticking out more than the other side. He also told me the clamps don't even clamp down enough to really secure the tips so he tack welded each one in case one fell off or moved. So in the end I was really angry to have paid for a $2k dollar exhaust that I thought was high quality and this is what happens. I would have regretted my purchase and asked to return it but damn it it does sound incredible.

In a few weeks I will get my suspension done and my new wheels mounted and from there it's on to more performance

Sounds amazing man, great job so far. Can't wait to see the drop and rims. I've got the rims with tires finally mounted and just waiting to instal my springs and msport lip.

Grabbed some wheels for next winter since I didn't want to run 17's when lowered. Ended up installing them today for the hell of it before I put on my Avant Gardes I have been waiting on. Big difference than the previous wheels

Some quick pictures from my Iphone, went to Eurotech in Natick Mass today where Farley took great care of me and my car installing some H&R springs. Quick work and I was out back in my lowered 4 on my way home.

Car is so nice to drive now on non runflat tires too, like a dream. Hopefully spring is finally here.

Sad to say I have been parting the old girl out as I have been thinking of getting something new again. Not sure what just yet but this was a fun little project car.
