Mine goes much lower than my S6 did, it seems. I'm 5'9" and like it down low, but this will nearly go lower than I can use, which is nice to have.

So neither the front or back goes down as far as it should. Seems odd both would not work correctly. Does yours go extra high. Did you buy the car new, perhaps someone altered it.

The seat lowers the farther you move it back. The rail it sits on is curved that way. So first make sure your steering wheel is pushed all the way inward/forward if you are short. Then adjust the distance of the seat until your legs are comfortable..That way the seat will be physically as high as possible even before you begin the electronic adjustments of the front and back seat heights. Finally, adjust the steering wheel so that your wrists hang just over the top while your shoulder blades are still on the seat back.. Someone else posted a good video of this last week. If you are tall, you might want to pull the steering wheel in toward you so the seat can be as far back as possible.

I felt the same on my test drive. Almost as if the bottom of the seat was so thin I was almost sitting level to the floor

My wife is 5'2" tall, and has no problems driving our 3 series, or setting the seat up to suit herself.

This was actually one of my first complaints after getting the car. The low position of the seat makes ingress and egress a chore.

Its not low enough. But it is an anomaly with my car. I can get in any other 3er with sport seats and they will go lower, getting almost .75" more headroom. I am 6'3" 260#s with long torso (32" inseam). seat is all the way back (which is almost to far to be honest)

My wife is 4'10". The first one we looked at seemed ok. The next one was too low. I guess we play with the buttons. If that does not work, I wonder what it would cost to have the seat redone by a leather shop?

First I wanted to say that I know making my own adjustments can effect safety.. just like everyone adding race seats.. so I'm not sure why it seems so taboo to many.

But I was trying to go the route of removing the seat bolts to add a steel spacer and a longer seat bolt. Ultimately I discovered the bolt used for E90 Sears and probably many more have threads called trilobular threads. So it seems the only way of raising the seat would be with a bracket using OEM bolts then adding the seat.

I read where the seat height is on a curve and will mess around with that today but don't see it satisfying me.

If there's anything new out there lmk.. I hear the m3 seat sits higher in a 335 too as well.

I am also 5'8" (at least I used to be) and like to sit high. I have a 2016 330e MSport and I am able to get high enough to be comfortable. I do like the sport seat wings closed so I am fully supported and that made getting in and out more difficult (seat close to the front and wings closed) but I had my car coded for easy access and now when I open the door from the inside the seat slides all the way back and when I start the car it slides back to my set position.

The two together work for me. So I agree with the other responders -- play with all the buttons until it fits you right.

I sold my 320i Tourer because I couldn't get a decent relationship between steering wheel, pedals and seat. It was giving me back trouble and I ended up sitting on a cushion - ridiculous in such a fine motor car.
A physio who worked at Chelsea FC recently told me they called these cars (BMWs) BMBs (Bu**er My Back) and forbade their players from buying them!
I got no help from BMW (GB) trying to solve the issue, so I got rid if the car after 6 months.
