Is a 5 Amp Trickle Charge Safe for a 2017 330i?

I have read in several forums that 4 Amps is the max trickle charger amperage for the AGM battery in the 330i. I bought a 2 Amp NOCO Genius 2 as it was on sale and I couldn’t find a 4 amp charger. I only found 2 or 5 amp trickle chargers. Is 5 amps safe for the 2017 BMW 330i battery? I also have an Expedition and would like to top that up as well. I am considering just getting a 5 amp instead.

The charge ampere rating is the maximum output, not the constant output. It will adjust its output according to the needs of the battery. 2 amps is sufficient for a maintainer. It would take 48 hours to fully charge a dead battery, but that's not what you're using it for.
