I just love the way you can go on line and get a status check with just an order number. Latest for my M135i is status 5055, she even gave me the chassis number. Delivery is estimated 1st week of Jan but would be good if it arrived between Christmas and new year

I managed to get a spec amendable build slot so was very lucky.

The online chat is easier than calling BMW customer services, which has you in queue for a few minutes.

My car is at sea, but looks to be docking in Southampton around noon today.

I would be surprised if it did, the ship (Asian Breeze) from Cuxhaven is due at Southampton in the next hour, I would imagine it's on there with mine and the others mentioned in this thread. There hasn't been any others since the end of November - not that I am obsessed.

I am in same boat - literally - due in today, date at dealer 18/12. I am treating it as a Christmas present, sod waiting till new year

Wait for 2016, you should be too drunk to drive it over xmas anyway!

Will the BMW genius's keep this up? Aren't they there to answer questions on spec and such? Great if they're willing to help though, most likely the same Customer Services call centre staff....

I agree they are likely to be the same staff. Yesterday the genius asked if I would like any help with the features on the car such as Sat Nav. I was offered the same information when I called CS.

The genius chat is available outside of the CS open hours, althogh when I got in touch over the weekend, the BMW computer system was not operational.

Apparently my car is still awaiting some sort of sorting down there as of this afternoon. Hoping to be able to get a numberplate sorted tomorrow or monday
