IPod Tough +4G Hotspot = Hassle Free?
Has anyone considered or implemented this setup?
1. Connect iPod touch w/ Pandora Installed in armrest 2. Install 4G Hotspot from FreedomPop or other carrier 3. Leave the Pandora app open all the time, connected to said hotspot via WiFi Would pandora just resume where you left off last time you were driving? It seems like this might be a way to "set it and forget it" to get Pandora, web radio, etc. in the car without the hassle of unlocking the phone, plugging it in to something, and starting an app every time you drive. ??? |

Have not done so myself, however, using my iPhone 4S over 3G and using the Pandora app or similar, it will pick up the song you last played.
Just be wary of data usage, otherwise, go crazy on your music selections. One other thing you may need to take into account is that the hotspot device may take a few moments to get a signal (may not be the case but wanted to let you know). P.S. If the music does not pick up from where it last played, I believe it may just be a preference you need to change, from within the app itself (car has nothing to do with this). |

I've tried a similar method with a touch in the center console and using my iPhone 5 as a hotspot and haven't had many problems at all. Just inconvenient to have to go in and turn the hot spot on each time.
