325??

Hi, am currently driving .c250 merc estate and want a change but still with practicality so 3gt is my choice but I am stuck on what engine. 320d feels slightly underpowered to my merc, 330d is more tax to pay - I cant get to test a 325d but on paper it seems the good 'halfway house ' between the two. Any feedback would be great.

thanks

PPK

If you add BMW PPK to the 320d it becomes more or less a 325d for a fraction of what you need to pay extra for a 325

I was thinking the exact same thing, but with PPK you get approx 200+ bhp, while the 325d has 218 bhp. On the other hand xdrive is not offered with 325d in Sweden, so if you want that you'll need to buy 330d.

In a recent test in "www.autozeitung.de" they tested the c250 vs the f30 325d and the 25d engine is very powerful. They tested a 0-100 in 6,4s which was way ahead of the c250`s 7,3s and just slightly behind an earlier tested 328i.

So you get power and economy in one, but as mentioned above no xdrive for the 25d setup yet.

I would def pick that over a 20d even With a tune

Not an issue in Sussex, I'd venture, unless he plans vacationing in the Highlands in winter.

There are a few 325d tourings for sale on BMW AUC. Why not go drive one of those, as a comparison with the 320d ?
The difference from 320d touring to 325d touring will be just the same as from 320dGT to 325dGT.
