A few pics of my Mojave Metallic

Just thought I'd share a few pics of my no-line base Mojave Metallic, with some OEM mods.

First - When the car was brand new, completely stock:

There are three things I felt needed to be changed with the car.

- The soft, stock suspension with lots of body roll
- The stock 17" wheels and 50-profile tires
- The thin base steering wheel

Step one - getting M Performance Suspension to eliminate the body roll.

The combination of MPS and 19" rims is awesome! The car handles flat and turns in eagerly now. I'm lovin it!

Great mods!

Now you need spacers, and some tints.

Can't wait to see some more transformations!

Wow.. those new wheels looks 1,000x better than those 17s, don't even know why BMW uses those.

Thanks! Not sure if spacers are my thing, I'm satisfied with the handling for the moment. I'm not sure if spacers improve the handling by much, do they? I don't want to do it just for looks.
Also, I've never been much of a tints guy, I've always preferred cars with clear windows. Maybe if I end up doing a lot of driving in the sun, I'll get tints..

Thanks. The color actually happened accidentally. I was looking for a base car, the SA mentioned they get mostly only white and black in the stripper cars, I was fine with it. I told him to look for white, since my previous three cars had been black. Then he found this mojave, was the only one on the lot at my price range (except for a bunch of 320is). We saw it, loved it, took it .

Yes, these two OEM mods have completely transformed my car. I was contemplating getting style 397 18" wheels and square non-runflats, but I figured I'll just enjoy the bigger wheels for sometime and then maybe switch to non-runflats later. For now, the stiffness of the runflats and low profile adds to the stiff feeling / quick turn-in, I like that

... and Step 3 : Steering wheel upgrade for my car!! The car feels GREAT to drive after this upgrade. I'm surprised how much of a difference this makes. Today I realized how underrated the steering wheel is, as a component that contributes to an overall sporty feel. BMW should really ditch that base wheel from all their cars!

With the "top three" components of my "base" car upgraded, it no feels longer so "base" (suspension, wheels & tires, steering wheel). The car is great to chuck around now!
