Choose a ph neutral wash. That is the first part of the choice after that comes down to cost.

Macca speaks the truth, don't let the science confuse you either. Choose a budget and stick to it. Check Sonic you tube Chanel and see of he recommends anything.

Im planning to buy these products

Chemical guys diablo tire and wheel cleaner
Chemical guys citrus wash and gloss shampoo
Gilmour foam gun
Micro fiber towels
Micro fiber wash mitt

So do i just spray the car with water to loosen up the dirt
Then spray with foam gun and citrus wash and gloss
Then use wash mitt to clean
Then micro fiber towels to dry

Is that correct?

My process is a bit different. I find that Chem Guys Citrus wash & gloss (CWG) doesn't foam up as good as DP extreme foam or some others (Try Mr. Pink from Chem Guys). It also tends to eat away my wax if the concentration is too strong or left for a bit too long on the vehicle.

If my car is light to medium dirty, then I just spray a decent layer of foam onto it and wait for it all to drop off. (and carry away some of the dirt and debris)

Then Follow it up with another round of foam - this time a bit lighter

Whilst the foam is on there I use the 2 bucket method to wash down the car top to bottom.

Then rinse and dry.

something extremely good to maintain your car with would be

Lusso Auto Bathe - I use this on my own cars.

Something good for a foam gun or foam cannon would be Adam's Car Shampoo

Gilmour Foamaster Foam Gun

I find chemical guys shampoos to be the best bang for the buck. Citrus wash and gloss is a great wash but be careful of your concentration or you may strip wax. The honeydew soap smells amazing. Both these soaps are high in foam. About to try out Mr. Pink.

I skip the first hose down as the foam will do all the heavy lifting. I think it is a waste of time to hose it down if I'm already going to do it after foaming.

I like the Adam's a lot. I bought some Einszett Exclusiv last time I was running low. It works well but I like the Adam's better.

GTECHNIQ’s G-Wash is a good shampoo and works great on dead bugs.

I have Lusso and i love it. I used Chemical Guy Maxi Suds before that for my foam gun and it worked well too. I mainly stick to ONR now.
