For all of you who built a 4 series...
Hey guys I have an E93 (love it) looking into trading up to an F33 for all the new tech/toys inside. Anyone else make this move? Opinions? Anyway, I have a ques though for everyone who built their 4 series with m-sport and black leather. Is there a way to get the m-sport package and black leather withOUT blue piping? I want all black and the blue piping isn't my thing… I like the red on the sport package but I want the m-sport package for the bumper as I think the 4 only looks good with the m-sport bumper and that only comes with blue. Anyone else come across this issue or know if this is just a website flaw because when you build it online m-sport has only blue piping on black leather. Thanks for the help!

You should be able to get pearl chrome with black leather as well. Just not with the hexagon trim. Pick one of the woods and thats what you'll get. Or pick Aluminum and you can get black trim.
I don't see any piping on the seats coming up when I do a build. EDIT: Wait, nevermind. I see the convertibles are different. They get black and blue seats. The coupe, GC and sedans all get full black. Last edited by Mike_L; 11-30-2014 at 03:14 PM.. |

He was referring to the contrasting stitching rather than the dash trim.
If you are going for the 435 it looks like the black and blue are the only options, unless there is an individual build option. Black Sensatec with no contrast stitching is an option on the 428, but you'd have to pass up lots of other options for that config. You'd probably either have to bite the bullet or consider a color that the blue contrasts better with. IMO black is the worst for convertibles anyways (at least without cooled seats), a lighter color might be a better choice.

Well the only other color I liked was grey but now it's only 2 versions of tan, red and black… why take away color choices /: I love red leather but BMW's is too dark for me. Audi makes a good red…Unless oyster is now grey. I guess I gotta go talk to someone there

Oyster is actually a great choice there is a lot of black leather to offset... it looks very sporty and elegant. BTW I went from e92 to f30 to f33 and what a difference! You will absolutely love the F33 it's an incredible car in every way; no regrets.

Thanks for the advice. I hate tan though so not a color I'd ever get! Must be nice to live in Florida. Here in Chicago when I put the top down from nov-april I gotta wear gloves, boots, and a huge coat haha but I do it!

Oyster isn't tan; it's almost white/ivory-like with a hint of grey? It's a really nice color in person especially with the black leather contrast. You should go take a look I think it would suit what you're looking for. Yes, I moved as far away as I could from that cold weather as possible Love south FL.

He kinda asked for anyone that built a 4 series.......
Damn BMW with their "this but not that when and if" Maybe he'll change his mind and want an F32 to avoid the blue piping. |

Haha yeah I like the vert. It's ok I love the M235 vert I just wish it had all the extra toys. Doesn't have a surround view cam, doesn't have heads up display doesn't have heated neck vents and I am pretty sure it doesn't have a touchpad for the nav. If it did, I'd get that instead hands down but that's prob what I'll end up goin with.

Get an upgrade to Msport performance interior kit then you would have the black trim the way you wanted.
