Why need for coding? I have 435i with M-Sport and I could do launch control without a wait. You just have to use proper sequence which took me couple times to figure out.

Mine definitely requires a wait.
When I tried it before 10km my car just sat still with the rear wheels spinning, which is also nice. |

Isnt it a safety thing, since it takes a little while till engine is at operating temp.. but hey, your car

Certainly if you took it to the strip and turned it off while waiting your turn it would be annoying. Is it done by mileage or temperature?
