Launch Control - coding

Is there a way to code it so you don't need to wait 6mi/10km before using LC?

Why need for coding? I have 435i with M-Sport and I could do launch control without a wait. You just have to use proper sequence which took me couple times to figure out.

I've tried it. Only comes on after 6mi/10km. Anyone else think you don't need to wait?

Garage List
Mine definitely requires a wait.

When I tried it before 10km my car just sat still with the rear wheels spinning, which is also nice.

That poor diff, that poor transmission, that poor motor.

Let those components get up to operating temperature.

Lol. Well it should be up to me when it's warmed up. I've stopped for gas now I have to wait 10km again? The engines still hot...

Certainly if you took it to the strip and turned it off while waiting your turn it would be annoying. Is it done by mileage or temperature?

That's a little bit different. You hadn't mentioned that in your first post.

When any of those oils get too hot, LC may not engage then either.

Sorry I should have been more specific. It should be up to me when I want to use launch control just like whenever you want to gun it.
