New nav: auto day/night mode?

Can anyone with an F30/F31 with the new Pro Nav please confirm if it has an automatic day/night mode (instead of having to select day/night manually)? If it does, that would be a nice improvement over the E90

My F30 (but not new nav, not in US until 2014) has auto day/night. Welcome change from my e90. The current US f30 nav idrive/nav has been capable of doing this for years but was not available on 3 series. Seems like they enable it for f30 even without new nav.

Good news, thanks for that Definitely an obvious feature that has taken its time to come to the 3 Series! Means I can also free up a shortcut button for something else

I looked a lot and couldn`t see a auto day/night setting. How does it work, how do you enable it? The album cover pics are too bright at nights.

It's just for the map colours unfortunately! Should be in Maps>Settings> for you to enable auto day/night?

Thats already enabled. Yes it changes to dark colors for map but the screen brightness never changes. I think Idrive needs a day/night thing for the whole screen.

I'll be happy just with it changing the map colour automatically, previous card didn't do this Agree that the brightness should also change according to ambient light!
