Comfort Access Limited
Hey everyone. Over the past month I have been having an issue with the comfort access not working no matter what key I use and replacing the batteries. The dash tells me Comfort Access Limited when I turn the car off. Brought it to the dealer to have them take a look under CPO and they said they have found a harness pinched by a screw on the rear bumper with an estimate of $488. Has anyone ever heard of this? I find it hard to believe that this would only cause comfort access issues and would cost that much.

But honestly, I am at a loss to think what wire of comfort access goes to the rear bumper unless it’s the sensor for the trunk kick opener. Regardless, if the wire is pinched, that should be an easy fix, not $488. However, I am shocked they found the issue that fast and diagnostic time would take up a lot of that time. Usually diagnostic time is severely limited in EWs. So if the $488 included several hours of diagnostic time, I’d believe it. Last edited by IK6SPEED; 11-02-2018 at 07:34 PM.. |
