TuneIn Radio update no longer works with ConnectedDrive

Has anyone else noticed since the new update, TuneIn radio no longer works? And the new logo is fugly.

I use it all the time, but not since the latest app update.

Can you use it without the BMW Connected app? I'm able to use the Tidal app that way, although a lot of the control features require me to use my iPhone.

"we're currently working on this fix and hope to release it soon - no ETA right now. Apologies for the inconvenience!"

So, it's their issue to fix and hopefully it'll be back asap. I really miss Radio Paradise. Well, hands free anyway.

Yup, I've been in touch with their support guy (Matt), and I gave him screenshots / photos and more to help resolve the issue.

He told me there was no ETA on the fix and it wouldn't be before the new year...

Yep - got around to trying it with Connected Drive yesterday, and it failed.

You should be able to use TuneIn without going through Connected Drive, though.

There is a long time since a cannot use TuneIn Radio via the ConnectedDrive app... A long time before the latest app update... Was working fine with the oldest BMW connected app (don't know the version... the one with brown icon, not the blue one...) And just before the latest update of Tunein, I was able to use it by starting the app on the iPhone but as soon as I switched to another app, it stopped to work... TuneIn didn't appear in the ConnectedDrive Menu on the iDrive screen... In fact the only app working since the new ConnectedDrive App update is Spotify, and the new Calendar App... Just boring... nothing more... Am I the only dude whose experiencing this case? Hey BMW guys, Please update ;-)

TuneIn released a new update today. I won't be able to try it until this evening but perhaps somebody else can check it out? New version should be v13.1

Try using TuneIn on your device and connect to the USB input. See if that works for you - works for me.

I find it clunky and then I get a display over the app so I cannot switch stations.

Since I only ever listen to BBC radio, I've ended up using the bbc radio app but I hope to get tune in again!

Updated last night but did not appear in iDrive this morning. Rebooted phone just now so will check a little later. Car in getting some scuffs repaired today... Some idiot caught my front bumper in a carpark....

Update; Restarted phone and it's not appearing. Deleted and reinstalled app and it's not appearing. I suppose next step will be to delete and re-add the phone in iDrive and see if it appears. Anyone else get it working?

I'm in a 2017 330e Nav-Pro model btw.

For the last couple of weeks I cannot get any apps to work on Connected drive on idrive 4.2.

It only connects maybe 1/5 times. The idrive says apps loaded but nothing is available...

Emailed bmw a week ago to complain and heard nothing..

Arg now amazon loads up with connected splash screen on my Iphone but doesn't on idrive!!!

All other apps don't work..
