Question Delivery Process from NY port to Midwest

How long did your car take from Discharge at port to getting on a truck?
How long did the truck delivery take from NY port to Chicago or nearby midwest dealer?
Anyone know what truck carrier BMW uses for the midwest?

I'm on the very last leg of my European Delivery.

I have a couple questions, not important, but maybe someone has it handy.
There is so much info out there, but hard to find the specifics in the sea of chat.

I see up to 3 days to leave port in the ultimate guide. Just wondering what is common or a range without any unusual variables.

Go to the timeline thread and find someone who lives where you live to see about their timeline, as yours will be close to it.

I'd say about 7-10 days from landing at VPC to dealership, if I had to guess.

Thanks, yeah, Dealer thought about 1 week or less. Knowing the truck line might be nice if I can track from them. I need to prearrange my pick-up a little, so a heads up would be helpful.

Yes, I went through so much of that thread. There is so much and much of it doesn't contain specifics. Also went through 7 pages of searched threads. I'll keep looking, but figured I'd toss it out here to see what info might roll in.

OK, I painfully went through all 88 pages of that timeline thread and a few thoughts.

Not too many midwesterners posting (or buying).
Most cars to midwest seem to go through Baltimore, not NY
No information on truck carriers used to the midwest.

Anyway, with about a dozen data points (excluding port installs and unusual delays), the range is 2 to 10 days to get to dealer with the average being pretty consistent at 5 or 6 calendar days.

Just thought I would capture what I found for future searches.

If my dealer gives me trucking company information in the next few days, I will add that too.

Glad to see it's within the original estimate. As you can appreciate, my car was to arrive in Baltimore on 6/8, and that's now been pushed to 6/11.. so these things are definitely moving targets from various perspectives.

Oh yes, I do understand this, and do not have unrealistic expectations. Just like to get a good picture of the data so I have an idea of what is normal.

With the data points, 5 or 6 days is a clear statistic result. So the dealer telling me within 1 week is very good info on their part.

Many people in the thread posted very actively until their car arrived in port, then didn't close the loop with details. It's like they were busy driving their new car or something
