Will this fit on my 2013 X3 F25 N20engine? Will it throw a service engine light? Will it produce a drone exhaust note inside the cabin?

Yes, we do have a variant that fits the X3. It will throw a service engine light but that can be cleared with the BMS tune. Adding a downpipe will not produce any additional noticeable drone to an otherwise stock exhaust, just a better growl

Tune and Code question.
Hi,
You mention below that this was done on the BMS JB4 tuning. Maybe I am just not fully understaning or confused with the termenology so excuse me if I am. I didn't think BMS offered a JB4 for the N20, so you mean the Stage 1 Tune? I just wanted to clarify. Also can you speak more to the codes that this will throw? If you don't have the CAN tool will you need one to remove the warning light on the dash or will you need it to remove tuner codes before dealer svc if your looking to gain a completely stock appearance? Thanks for your help and time. [QUOTE=Evolution Racewerks;11722186][CENTER]Hi all! I'm proud to finally announce that our track use N20 downpipes are officially out of testing stages and is now available to the public! http://www.evolutionracewerks.com/node/214 As for the code from the downpipe, the ecu will sense that the catalytic converters are gone and thus give you a "service engine light" on the dash. The light itself is completely harmless but most enthusiasts choose to keep an OEM look by getting a O2 sensor to remove the code. |

So how easy are these to install compared to a N54 downpipe

looks like this thread died almost a year ago.. Anyone try one of these and have anything to report. Considering it but would love to hear from people who have tried them and their experiences..

Good thread revival. This almost qualifies as a sticky. From everything I've read, this is the down pipe to get. Just make sure you know what engine you have (n20 vs n26) and get the right pipe as the fitment is different.

Guess so. I hit up a local shop about it and they seemed less than enthusiastic about doing the install. Living in CA and understanding long term implications of such a mod I want it done right and with care. If I could line up a legit shop and could even see a video or something, I'd probably pull the trigger. Can't find anything anywhere about this. Would love to see a YouTube vid w/a few sound clips as I'd be doing it for sound improvement first and performance gains second.
