SO I'm actually glad this thread popped back up. I'm taking delivery tomorrow and the car is being prepped today. After seeing this thread I immediately emailed my CA and told him to NOT install a front plate holder. I'll gladly pay the $15 fine if I ever get cited.

I brought up the license plate a little bit higher but it still looks like Bugs. Oh well, the law's the law. The good thing is, I can take it off if I wanted to in a few minutes.

How about a black license plate frame? It kind of disappears into the grille if you glance at it. And just for kicks, a black and white frame?

I live in Colorado and it is the law here. My previous one never had a plate and I did not get hassled. However, when I got this one new, I chose to have it installed (no cost) as I really don't want to have ANY reason for them to pull me over. It doesn't look too horrible. I'm used to it now.

I'm pretty dumb I guess. My CA asked my if I wanted a front plate and I was like "of course - it's the law". Wish I would have seen this thread before having him put it on. To be honest, it obviously looks worse with the plate but I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me much. In fact it is only bothering me now because I'm reading a thread about people choosing to not have it installed and I missed that opportunity.

So happy, I don't have to worry about front plate.
If I had to put it on, I'd use one of the retractable mechanisms, or just risk a ticket without it. Ruins the car.

More elongated euro plate is much more appealing.
